A handful of some of the most proficient high school basketball athletes in the state showcased their extraordinary talents during Granite School District’s all-star exhibition games.
The matches pitted players from the District’s four 4A schools against their peers from the four 5A schools. Each high school team was invited to select four athletes – two girls and two boys – to represent their school in the games.
Coaches for the four amalgamated teams were chosen based on performance in the state basketball tournament. Dan Cosby of Kearns High and Lynette Schroeder of Skyline High both led their squads to 4A state championship games, and took charge of the 4A boys and girls teams respectively. Chelsea Robinson and Rob Collins, both from Hunter High School, led the 5A teams.
Final scores:
Girls: 4A 63, 5A 39
Boys: 4A 160, 5A 137
