Last year Christine Fotheringham took up a challenge by the Children’s Literature Association of Utah to show how elementary libraries promote the Beehive Book Awards.
Christine’s efforts paid off as representatives from the Association were most impressed with Rolling Meadows’ display out of every submission in the state.
Each week Rolling Meadows students read a Beehive Award nominee book and submit votes on how well they liked the book. Students keep track of the books they read, and receive prizes when they reach a certain point level.
