Granite Technical Institute students in Oyvind Hatlevik’s Biomanufacturing class and in Jonathon Tuttle’s Aquaculture class hosted 4th graders from Woodrow Wilson Elementary on a field trip to the GTI greenhouse last week.
The high school students taught their young budding counterparts about soil formation, composting, and the important role of worms, plants, and fish in the living world. For many of the 4th graders, it was the first time that they had looked through a microscope or seen the world in such a hands-on way.
