This week’s Customer Service Star goes to a physical therapy assistant who takes his role very seriously, but understands the importance of fun, laughter and optimism.
“I have worked alongside Robert Vayo in the Health Related Service Department since I was hired as a COTA three years ago. He is always willing to offer his help to our staff, the teaching staff or students.”
“Whether it’s repairing a broken wheelchair, instructing a para-professional on the proper transfer techniques, or convincing a child that therapy can actually be fun, Bob is always up for the challenge. The students here at the school love Bob and the easy-going personality he portrays when he works with them.”
“He is often able to get a student to do what is needed when nobody else can. It is very common to hear laughter coming from the physical therapy gym, and when you do, you can be sure Bob is in the middle of it.”
“He is constantly researching new interventions to stay abreast of the latest techniques. He takes his position very seriously, and it is obvious he strives to provide students with the therapy they need to reach their full potential.”
