Each year KUED recognizes five outstanding educators in Utah for innovation in the classroom. This year, two of those five teachers were from Granite School District.
This week The Salt Lake Tribune featured Chris Humbert of Kearns Junior High School. Chris is a former architect who uses his background to help his students in the engineering process.
In the coming weeks, the Tribune will also feature Robin Farnsworth of Neil Armstrong Academy. Robin was an Excel Award winner in 2014, and she works to help her students learn how to solve problems on their own.
All five winners will be profiled on a special program airing May 18 at 8 p.m. on KUED.
