Granite School District employees, parents and students helped set a Real Monarchs SLC club record attendance of 13,979 last Friday night.
“It was the best atmosphere, the players loved it,” said Real Salt Lake Vice President of Soccer Administration Rob Zarkos.
Granite Appreciation Night at Rio Tinto Stadium saw dozens of students storm the field prior to the match to welcome players from the tunnel. GSD students also escorted Real Monarchs and Seattle Soudners 2 players onto the pitch.
We express our sincere thanks to Granite Education Foundation, Granite Credit Union, and Real Monarchs for their generosity and support of GSD students and staff.
