National Arts in Education Week celebrates the impact of artistic learning in schools throughout the country.
Artistic mediums allow students to explore subjects from a myriad of angles. Over at Granger High School, a group of students have used art to ask the question, “Where will literacy take you?”
“These works symbolize that literacy provides personal power, which brings opportunities to influence and change their communities and the world,” said Granger High art teacher Liz Matthews.
Students reflected their impressions of literacy through paintings and drawings with powerful results. The full collection of these works will be on display to the public at Art Access (230 S. 500 West) from September 18 to October 9.
