Two Granite School District educators were selected from a large pool of nominations to receive this year’s top awards from the Utah Art Education Association.
Tami Searle of Churchill Junior High was selected as the 2015 Utah Junior High School Art Teacher of the Year. The selection committee was “extremely impressed with Ms. Searle’s accomplishments and dedication to artistic education of Utah children.”
K-12 Fine Arts coordinator Tamara Burnside was selected as the Utah Art Supporter of the Year. The award recognizes an individual “who is actively promoting and advocating for the arts in Utah.”
