Administrative Reports

John Welburn, Assistant Superintendent of Educator Support & Development, gave a report on the School Improvement Grant process and application.

Linda Mariotti, Assistant Superintendent of Student Learning & Support, gave a report on a possible relocation of the Morningside Elementary gifted program. For more information contact Student Learning & Support at 385-646-4513.

Recognitions

 The board recognized the 4A state champion Olympus High tennis team and the Academic All State recipients for fall sports.

The board recognized November 16-20, 2015 as American Education Week.

The board recognized Wednesday, November 18, 2015, as Educational Support Professionals Day.

Brent Severe, Executive Director of Granite Education Foundation, presented this year’s GESPA Outstanding Classified Employee awardees: David Wilson (Transportation), Loni Brandol (Custodial Services), and Surplus Warehouse staff members David Greer, Brock Morgan, Tate Fors, Steven Morrison, Joe Lucero, and Garrett Sutton.

The board approved a second reading of the Advertising and Distributing Information policy as presented by Doug Larson, Director of Policy & Legal Services, and Ben Horsley, Director of Communications.

The board approved a second reading of the Picture Books, Yearbooks and Literary Publications policy as presented by Doug Larson, Director of Policy & Legal Services, and Ben Horsley, Director of Communications.
