Cottonwood High students spent a morning raising money to help grant the wish of a young boy recovering from brain cancer.
Magnus, the energetic boy who quickly won the hearts of Cottonwood students, has always wanted to go on a cruise, or as he puts it: “Go on a boat with big waterslides.”
The fundraiser assembly featured Cottonwood High’s student body officers repeatedly running up and down the aisles of the auditorium collecting dollar bills and change in buckets. Premier parking spot passes and dates with student government members were auctioned off to the highest bidding students.
The assembly raised more than $1,600 for young Magnus.
