Seventy-four years after an attack at Pearl Harbor claimed the lives of 2,400 people, students and staff at Olympus High paused to reflect on freedom and the price that’s paid to maintain it.
Thanks to generous donations from the Bonneville Exchange Club, Olympus Development Foundation, and Olympus students, the school has recently installed a large display of documents, photos and other memorabilia associated with the nation’s founding and other historical U.S. events. School officials and students dedicated the new Freedom Shrine and brought to light revered principles and ideals often taken for granted.
