The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards is an independent, nonprofit organization that bestows teaching credentials to teachers to show they have “proven skills to advance student achievement.”
This year there were five Granite teachers who received National Board certification:
Deborah Gatrell – Social Studies, Hunter High
LuAnn Kluge – Teacher Quality Specialist, Staff Development
Stacy Stosich – English, Cyprus High
Cheri Weske – Third Grade, Diamond Ridge Elementary
Justin Wheatley – Art, Granite Connection High
Granite School District now has close to 30 educators who are National Board Certified teachers.
