Traveling electricians Tony Nelson, Mike Major, Jacob Smith, and Randy Burkinshaw saved the day for students and staff at West Lake Jr. High. Here’s the story from a staff member who saw it all:
“Today at West Lake Jr. High, in preparation for our student/faculty basketball game, it was discovered that the electrical switch to raise the side basketball standards was not working. Unless the basketball standards were raised, we wouldn’t be able to get the bleachers pulled out and set up for student seating.”
“Not wanting to cancel or postpone the activity, Dan Anthony, our amazing head custodian, asked the electrical crew if they could help in this emergency situation. Even on their lunch hour and without hesitation, these fine men were willing to replace the switch.”
“The basketball standards were quickly raised and the custodians were able to prepare the gym for the exciting basketball game between the teachers and the faculty.”
