Three Granite School District students were awarded scholarships by the Utah Senate to celebrate their participation in a statewide arts contest.
Students were invited to submit artwork with images of the architectural features of the Utah State Capitol in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Capitol Rotunda building, and in salute to the Utah Legislature working on behalf of Utah citizens.
Rebekah Moon of Skyline High School won 3rd place in the competition. Mariam Kergaye of Cottonwood High and Aidan Mock of Skyline High each received honorable mentions.
