Douglas Orchard Elementary head custodian Robert Goble greets students and staff every day with a cheery hello and the phrase, “It’s going to be a great day!”
In addition to helping everyone feel welcome at the school, Robert has a track record of going beyond the call of duty.
“Last week we had a Wax Museum for the second grade benchmark reading kids, and I needed long tables set up before school started in the morning. Robert couldn’t set them up the day before because we have P.E. on Tuesdays.”
“He has other duties that must be done each morning before the first bell, but he completed his responsibilities early and help me set up before school started. That’s just one example of what he has done for our school.”
“No matter what he is asked to do, or what we need help with, he tries to accommodate the request, even if it’s inconvenient for him. I have worked with Robert for almost 10 years, and I have seen this same devotion to our school, the students, our faculty, and staff from day one.”
