Public Hearing
The board opened the meeting for public input regarding the issuance of general obligation bonds, if approved by eligible voters, and the potential economic impact that the facilities financed with the bonds will have on the private sector. There were no comments.

Recognitions
The board recognized South Kearns Elementary first-grade teacher Sarah Wilson as the 2017 Granite School District Teacher of the Year.

The board recognized the Purchasing Department for receiving the 2017 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award from the National Procurement Institute, Inc. (Only 26 school districts nation wide received the award).

The board recognized the Communications Department for receiving the NSPRA Award of Excellence for Publications and Electronic Media.
