Boundary Study Summary

September 2017Granite Schools

This brief video summarizes the general proposals currently being studied and presented to school communities.

Boundary Studies:

Northwest Area Study
This study includes a potential boundary change between Pleasant Green and Lake Ridge elementary schools. It also includes a feeder pattern change for Wright Elementary. Under the proposal Wright Elementary would feed into Hunter Jr High instead of Matheson Jr High. Upon leaving Hunter Jr High, students would continue to Cyprus High School.

South Salt Lake Area Study
The proposal includes moving approximately 120 students from Wilson Elementary to Lincoln Elementary. This change accounts for growth in the Wilson Elementary boundary.

Cottonwood/Olympus Network Study
This study involves the old Cottonwood Mall site and whether the site should remain in the Olympus Network or become part of the Cottonwood Network.

If you have questions, please contact Planning & Boundaries at 385-646-4123, or email boundaries@graniteschools.org.

Open House Meetings are scheduled for the following dates and locations:

Wednesday, September 20 at Hunter Jr High from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 21 at Granite Park Jr High from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 27 at Cottonwood High School from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
