There are countless students in Granite School District who overcome significant challenges to pursue a high quality education. Some are bogged down with family financial burdens or particularly challenging circumstances. Others face physical barriers or carry the weight of emotional trauma with them to school.
Yet, time and time again, Granite students demonstrate perseverance and strong determination in the wake of personal and environmental struggles. The Absolutely Incredible Kid Award is an opportunity for teachers, administrators, parents, and peers to recognize those students who have transformed difficult situations into academic success.
Last year, we were thrilled to recognize Bennion Jr. High student Charlie Scriver as our Absolutely Incredible Kid. Charlie was recognized and honored by several companies and organizations, along with Granite School District and the Granite Education Foundation, at an assembly in front of his peers:
Now we are looking for this years’ Incredible Kid.
Please take a moment to consider ANY Granite student who is deserving of this recognition. Nominations are due Friday, March 30.
