Granite School District nurses are working closely with the Salt Lake County Health Department to ensure our students, families and employees have the best information to stay safe and healthy. Recently released information includes a recommendation to use a face covering while in public. This is NOT a mandate, but a simple recommendation and way to help prevent the spread of disease.
The CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies), especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.
The attachment above includes instructions on how to make homemade face coverings using common household items.
We are committed to help our community through this situation and hope this information will help you and your families to stay safe.
