All certified behavior analysts have completed coursework specific to behavior analysis, completed supervised field work experience, and passed a board exam. Certified behavior analysts also are required to complete continuing education credits to maintain their certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Do We Do? <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We support general education students with behaviors that have been resistant to Tier I strategies and Tier II\/III interventions. We also support teams in the creation and monitoring of behavior plans and interventions for these students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For Families<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The General Education Behavior Specialists offer resources for families and the community to learn about behavior and how to support students outside of Access)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Levels of Support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Virtual Consultation\/Office Hours<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul consultation<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bring data or other documentation \/ Gen Ed BIP draft<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BCBA will fill out Consultation Recommendation Form<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School team will take the recommendations from BCBA and implement with fidelity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have 1 additional consultation as needed or suggest behavior referral<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Student Support Referral Process<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Identify<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Student Support Team (SST) will identify a student who has demonstrated resistance to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tier I strategies and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tier II\/Tier III interventions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SST will gather data to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Determine previous interventions implemented<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyze the effect of interventions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate need for additional support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Request<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SST and Administration will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a form<\/a> found on the MTSS Tile<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attach the data or supporting documents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Behavior Team Responses<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A behavior specialist will conduct a 15-30 minute observation to collect additional data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The referral and data will be reviewed by the General Education Behavior Support Committee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A behavior specialist will reach out to the school team regarding the committee&#8217;s decision: Accepted Referral Consultation Only, Accepted Referral Standard Support, or Utilize Virtual Consultation\/Office Hours and Re-evaluate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accepted Referrals<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns
