It gives us the power to question, to confront, to explore, and to challenge how we think about the world.&#8221; -Lucy Liu<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Fine Arts Core Curriculum places emphasis on creating, performing, presenting, producing, responding, and connecting.\u00a0\u00a0 In Granite School District teachers use curriculum maps, benchmarks, and benchmark assessments that are based on the Utah State Core Standards for Dance, Theatre, and Visual Arts.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Curriculum Maps\" href=\"https:\/\/www.graniteschools.org\/curriculuminstruction\/curriculum-maps\/\">Granite District Fine Arts Curriculum Maps<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/schools.utah.gov\/curr\/finearts\">Utah State Office of Education Fine Arts Website<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students have many opportunities to perform, present, and produce works of art in each of these areas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DANCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dance students perform dance concerts at their individual schools. The district hosts a District Dance Concert at one of our schools each February. Every school is invited to perform a dance. It is a great opportunity to bring the community together and to witness the dance process happening in Granite School District.
