There’s no doubt that the students at Taylorsville Elementary are new food fans, especially after they enjoyed the A to Z Salad Bar on November 3rd. Granite and Sodexo employees loaded the salad bar with a variety of unique fruits and vegetables–one for each letter of the alphabet, and students loaded their plates. With eyes wide and big smiles, students moved down the line collecting not only some of their favorite fruits and vegetables, but also a few they’d never tried before. And likely some they’d never even heard of. Daikon, edamame, jicama, broccoflower, and star fruit were just a few of the fun choices.
Smiles and awes filled the lunch room that day, and many students asked when we’d be returning to do it again.
