On Friday March 3rd, 24 4th grade students from the Granite School District participated in the 2017 Future Chefs Healthy Comfort Food Challenge! These finalists were chosen from over 200 submissions this year. They joined us at the GEC Cafe to prepare their recipe with the help of a Nutrition Service Worker from the student’s school, or a ProStart student from the Granite Technical Institute. Each dish was presented and tasted by our panel of judges who determined winners in each of the five categories, as well as the 1st place winner. We are so proud of all our Future Chefs and look forward to seeing what they accomplish with their winning culinary skills!
