{"id":869,"date":"2021-09-07T22:42:15","date_gmt":"2021-09-08T04:42:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.graniteschools.org\/psp\/?page_id=869"},"modified":"2026-03-09T14:14:56","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:14:56","slug":"school-behavior-plans","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.graniteschools.org\/ssp\/school-behavior-plans\/","title":{"rendered":"School Behavior Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our district&#8217;s template for a school&#8217;s <em>Behavior Plan<\/em> addresses several separate but related state requirements and plans: <em>\u00a7 53G-9-602, \u00a7 53G-10-407, R277-400-8<\/em>,<em> R277-609-2, R277-622-3, <\/em>and <em>R277-609-4<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Key areas: bullying prevention, suicide prevention, substance abuse prevention, and teaching positive behaviors\/fostering positive interactions (these fit great underneath your PBIS umbrella)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This plan must be updated annually and made available to the public<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New and easy money &#8211; strengthen what you are already doing. See current year guidelines linked below.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>\u00a7 53G-10-407<\/em> (Positive Behaviors Plan) is \u201ca plan to address the causes of student use of tobacco, alcohol, electronic cigarette products, and other controlled substances through promoting positive behaviors.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Plan Implementation funds<\/strong> &#8211; supplies, materials, equipment, advertising, targeted activities and incentives to increase positive behaviors in schools <strong><em>(cannot be used to purchase any type of food)<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Positive Behaviors Plan Specialist stipend(s)<\/strong> &#8211;
