Our Purpose

BiG logo

BioInnovations Gateway is committed to developing a vibrant and growing life science business sector in the State of Utah. BiG was created upon the understanding that without an appropriately skilled workforce, it is impossible to grow this highly FDA-regulated industry. BiG’s responsibility is to help eliminate barriers to life science startups by providing access to expensive research equipment, space, and skilled talent.

For client companies, we provide resources like business consulting, a network of professional service providers, trained student interns, executive training and a network of capital investors essential for the success of the companies. For students, we provide real-life education through hands-on learning opportunities, learning FDA requirements resulting in a highly employable, experienced and valuable technical career.

BioInnovations is an academic training ground where early-stage life science and natural products companies sustain a competitive edge by sharing state-of-the-art space, equipment, services, and talent in a cost-effective manner and students develop creative thinking and biotechnology work skills in a product-driven environment.

Goals
  1. Provide a competitive edge to life science start-up businesses by providing access to state-of-the-art space, equipment, talent, and services in a cost-effective manner
  2. Provide a workforce training program offering real-life, hands-on experience in which students develop creative thinking and biomanufacturing work skills in a commercial environment
