Dear Granite School District Community Member:
Granite has contracted with MGT, an independent K-12 demographic consulting firm, to support our ongoing planning efforts related to potential programming changes, boundary adjustments, and school closures due to declining student enrollment. As part of this work, MGT wants to hear your perspectives before the planning process begins in earnest. Your first opportunity to be heard is the Preliminary Community Input Survey linked here:
This survey is an opportunity for candid input and will help MGT better understand the experiences, priorities, and viewpoints of the families and communities served by Granite School District.
The first community-wide public meeting hosted by MGT will be on November 19th at 6pm in the Taylorsville High School auditorium. The results of this survey and other initial feedback will be discussed at this meeting. However, at this stage, no scenarios or recommendations have been developed. Therefore, it will be too early to discuss potential boundary changes or school closure recommendations at this meeting. To better understand the timeline and process, please review the infographic linked here.
You may also keep track of all data and ongoing information regarding this study on a website hosted by MGT. That website link is:
Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective and for shaping Granite School District’s plan for the future.
Please email any questions to: boundaries@graniteschools.org
Sincerely,
Granite School District
