As a member of the Hunter/West Valley Community, I would like to know the current student demographics of the area and the proposed plan for school replacement for the Hunter area. The Hunter/West Valley area serves a low-income, person of color majority. How will the needs of these disenfranchised students be attended to in one location? Will a school in the West Valley/Hunter area be re-built to respond to the growing population of the area?
If Sandburg and Jackling have a combined projected enrollment of 620 students and a MAXIMUM building capacity of 725, that puts the school at 85% maximum capacity before faculty and support staff. What plans are in place to hire the right amount of teachers and educational support staff to serve the individual needs of the students? How will the school be enlarged to house an appropriate amount of students per classroom? What is the expected number of students per classroom?
