Dear Granite District Families
A District level Curriculum Committee has reviewed English Language Arts Core Curriculum programs for use in elementary classrooms. The committee has selected HMH’s “Into Reading” for recommended adoption. In accordance with Utah Code §53G-4-402, the program materials are available for public review.
Parents can review the program online by following the instructions below. If you are a resident of Granite School District and wish to review the programs in person, you may also access them by scheduling an appointment with the Curriculum and Instruction department at (385) 646-4542. Please remember to bring identification and proof of address.
Public review and comments will be accepted starting January 30, 2024, and closing February 29, 2024, prior to formal recommendation for adoption of any materials to the Granite School District Board of Education. Parental feedback helps our ability to provide materials that both adhere to the Utah Core Standards for Literacy and engage students in their learning of those standards.
