Hello administrators,
I want to give a big shout out to our amazing instructional coaches. Teachers, thank you so much for your dedication and openness in being part of instructional coaching. Your commitment to growing as a teacher not only improves your own practice but makes a real difference for your students. Like Jim Knight says, “When professionals continuously learn and improve, they have an unmistakable positive impact on the people they serve” (Knight, 2007). Your willingness to collaborate and reflect is what makes coaching valuable and impactful. I really appreciate the time, energy, and thought you put into this work.
This week let’s recognize Brett Bawden, principal at Penn Elementary. Here’s what one of his teachers had to say about him:
“Brett has been a breath of fresh air at William Penn Elementary this year. He has created such a positive atmosphere for everyone – students, teachers, and community members. He is always willing to listen, problem solve, and think outside the box. Brett has worked tirelessly to improve and create school systems help us all get our jobs done efficiently and effectively. He is committed to being transparent in his decision making, and involves stakeholders at all levels to make informed decisions while still keeping the students’ best interests as a priority in leading his actions. We are so lucky to have Brett at our school!”
