Thank you for the extraordinary work you do each day to shape the lives of our students. Your belief in the capacity of every child to learn—and your equal confidence in your own ability to help them do so—is the foundation of academic excellence and equity. As Anthony Muhammad reminds us, “The most significant variable in the success of a school is not demographics, resources, or curriculum—it is the collective belief system of the adults in the building.” When we, as educators, share a deep conviction that all students can and will achieve, we unleash the transformative power of what John Hattie calls collective teacher efficacy—the single greatest influence on student learning. Your shared belief, collaboration, and persistence make Granite School District a powerful impact in the lives of our students.
This week let’s recognize Tim Clark, principal of Brockbank STEM Jr. Here’s what one of his educators had to say about him:
“It is my honor to nominate Tim Clark for recognition as an outstanding principal. Working under his leadership has been a privilege, as he has created an environment that is both positive and inspiring for staff and students alike. Mr. Clark makes our school an enjoyable place to work every day. He leads with kindness, humor, and respect, ensuring that every staff member feels valued and supported. He takes the time to listen, celebrate accomplishments, and recognize the hard work of others, which has led to positive morale across our campus. His open-door policy and genuine care for his team make him not only a leader, but a mentor and a friend. He’s also incredible with our students. He knows their names, takes the time to talk with them, and shows genuine interest in their lives. The kids look up to him and trust him, and it’s easy to see why—he leads with kindness, patience, and humor. He sets the tone for a school where students feel safe, supported, and inspired to do their best. Mr. Clark has a gift for boosting morale, even during stressful times. His positivity and care make this school feel like a family. For all these reasons and so many more, I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this recognition than Tim Clark. He is an outstanding leader!”

Thank you, Tim! We appreciate you and all you do for the students, staff, and community of Brockbank STEM Jr High!
