The strength of a school is not only found in what happens between a teacher and students, but also in how teachers show up for one another. When yo support a colleague through collaboration, encouragement, or sharing effective practices, you amplify impact across every classroom in the building.
As John Hattie reminds us, “Collective teacher efficacy is the single most powerful influence on student achievement.” That collective efficacy is built in the daily moments where teachers lift, guide, and stand beside each other.
Caring for one another as professionals is not separate from caring for students. It is foundational to it. When teachers feel supported, valued, and connected, they are better equipped to meet the needs of every child.
This week, we’re pleased to recognize Brandon Moore, principal at Arcadia Elementary. Here’s some of what one of his educators said about him:
“The bonds we forge with our administrators can chart the course for teachers to reach their academic and professional treasures, all while steering student-centered goals to success. I am tremendously grateful to sail alongside Captain Brandon Moore at Arcadia. Brandon has quickly shown that he knows how to captain a ship with skill and heart. He supports a culture of coaching, listens intently to teacher feedback, and adjusts his course to meet the crew’s needs. His ability to foster a positive school climate, connect with students, and uplift staff while holding us on course toward school goals is nothing short of legendary. Brandon is approachable, kind, reflective, and brilliantly professional. He even makes the journey fun. In the vast seas of education, he is the kind of captain you want at the helm—steady, inspiring, and always ready to navigate toward success. With him guiding the ship, the Arcadia crew can boldly sail forward knowing we are in the best of hands.”
Thank you, Brandon! We sincerely appreciate all the effort you put into supporting your students, educators, and the Arcadia Elementary community.
