Online Re-enrollment Opens July 31 – Prepare Now!
Online Re-enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year opens Friday, July 31. To help make the process as smooth as possible, we encourage families to log in to their Focus Parent Portal account before re-enrollment opens. If you’ve forgotten your password, reset it now rather than waiting until re-enrollment day.
A few helpful reminders:
- Use your Focus Parent account—not your student’s account—to complete re-enrollment.
- If you’re having trouble logging in, avoid creating a new account, as this can cause delays and additional issues.
- Visit our Parent Portal Resources page for tutorials and other helpful Focus resources.
- If you need assistance after July 29th, contact your child’s school first. School staff can resolve many account and re-enrollment questions and will refer more complex issues for additional support if needed.
Taking a few minutes to verify your account now can save you time and help ensure a smooth re-enrollment experience for your family.
2026/2027 Granite School District Budget
The Granite Board of Education has adopted a proposed budget for the 2026-2027 school year that prioritizes smaller class sizes, support for teachers, and funding to meet new state requirements for special education, preschool, and English language learners.
The proposed budget also addresses the financial impact of more than $12 million in state funding reductions, program eliminations, and new unfunded mandates over the past two years. It’s important to note that Granite did not raise taxes last fiscal year, and any increase property owners may have seen was likely due to changes in property values—not a district tax increase.

Artificial Intelligence in Granite Classrooms
Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming an increasingly common tool in education. Granite School District is committed to using AI in ways that support learning while protecting student privacy and promoting responsible use. The district has developed guidance for teachers that emphasizes human oversight, age-appropriate use, digital citizenship, and compliance with student data privacy laws. AI is intended to enhance teaching and learning—not replace the important role of educators. Parents can review the district’s guidance to better understand how AI may be used in Granite classrooms.

Summer Lunch Reminder
Granite School District’s Nutrition Services Department is providing free summer meals for children and teens through the Seamless Summer program until July 31st. Free meals are available to all children ages 18 and younger at participating school and park locations throughout the summer, helping ensure students continue to have access to nutritious meals while school is out.
