Granite School District will hold its initial budget hearing for the 2025–26 fiscal year on Monday, June 17 at 6:00 PM at the Granite Education Center.
The proposed budget includes a property tax rate above the projected certified rate, which will require a Truth in Taxation hearing in August.
Key investments include:
- $13.97 million in the General Fund to support class size reduction, instructional coaches, teacher prep time, and employee compensation.
- $2.96 million in the Capital Outlay Fund to continue rebuilding and maintaining school facilities.
The budget aims to keep tax rates as low as possible while meeting critical needs. Public input is welcome. To sign up for virtual public comment, please email Granite School District communications prior to noon on Tuesday, June 17. You can sign up for in-person public comments at the meeting.
