Summer Lunch Schedule
Free Summer Meals Are Back!
Granite School District’s 2025 Summer Feeding Program launches June 9 and runs through August 1, offering free weekday lunches to all kids 18 and under at parks and schools throughout Granite District boundaries. Adults can grab a meal too for just $3.50. This year, we’ve added a 15th location—right outside Jackling Elementary! Since 2012, Granite Nutrition Services has served over 1 million summer meals, and we’re not slowing down.

Budget Hearing
Granite School District will hold its initial budget hearing for the 2025–26 fiscal year on Monday, June 17 at 6:00 PM at the Granite Education Center.
The proposed budget includes a property tax rate above the projected certified rate, which will require a Truth in Taxation hearing in August.
Key investments include:
- $13.97 million in the General Fund to support class size reduction, instructional coaches, teacher prep time, and employee compensation.
- $2.96 million in the Capital Outlay Fund to continue rebuilding and maintaining school facilities.
The budget aims to keep tax rates as low as possible while meeting critical needs. Public input is welcome. To sign up for virtual public comment, please contact communications@graniteschools.org prior to noon on Tuesday, June 17. You can sign up for in-person public comments at the meeting.

Calendar Change

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025, will be a Legislative Instructional Exemption Day (Student Non-Attendance Day). The board voted to approve this change during the June 3, 2025 Board of Education meeting.
This will allow an additional half-day of professional development and half-day of planning for teachers early in the school year.
