The Granite School District logo should be used on all formal district documents and publications, including all school and district letterheads and business cards. Departments and schools may not order business cards, stationery, or other district supplies with the 2014 logo until materials with the 2004 logo are exhausted. Signs, banners, and insignias installed internally or externally on school and district sites with the 2004 version will be replaced by district personnel on a designated timeline over the course of a few years. The 2014 version may immediately replace the 2004 version under specific circumstances listed below.
- District and school Web pages and social media sites
- District and school publications, notifications, fliers, or announcements
- Screen savers and digital presentations
Logo Usage Requirements
Fidelity
The district logo should not be redrawn, modified, or displayed in rough form. Always reproduce the logo from high-resolution original artwork. The artwork is available electronically from the Communications Office, Printing Services, or online at https://www.graniteschools.org/communications.
Integrity
Always display the logo in its entirety. The district name is part of the logo and always appears with the graphic. It is inappropriate to separate elements of the logo or to modify the logo in any way. Do not “flip” or reverse the facing direction of the logo.
Proportion
The logo is designed according to a specific height and width ratio. Even slight distortions will impact the consistency of the presentation. Always display the logo in its original proportions, regardless of the logo size, placement or use.
Signatures and Typography
When displayed on the same line as a title or other text, the logo should be placed at the left of the text. The fonts used for the district name are imbedded as a graphic and must not be replaced with another font.
Color Presentation
The logo should always be presented in color. When color presentation is not feasible, grayscale or black versions may be used. The two colors of blue (light blue: Pantone 542, Color #56a0d3; dark blue: Pantone 541, Color #00467f) must be used. Logos presented on the Web should always be in color.
Use and Presentation
All business cards and letterhead for the district, its offices, and schools are to be printed by Printing Services using authorized formats described below. Envelopes for schools may be printed by the school or Printing Services, and district envelopes shall be printed by Printing Services.
