Accounting Details
The Accounting department serves as the backbone of the district’s fiscal stewardship and daily financial operations. We record all financial transactions and process all vendor payments. We provide support and training to schools to ensure student activity funds are accounted for accurately. We also focus on state and federal compliance as well as financial transparency. We prepare complex financial disclosures, including the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and Annual Program Report (APR), which detail exactly how state, federal, and local tax dollars are spent across different educational programs. By working closely with internal and external auditors, the department maintains strong internal controls, safeguards public assets, and ensures the district consistently receives clean financial audits.
