#GSDEdTech and #GSDLibraries Social Media Round Up: March 2019

April 2019Josh Whiting

In this post we’re rounding up social media posts about educational technology and library activities from Granite classrooms this past month. We know this collection features only a fraction of the awesome things students and teachers are doing every day. If you’d like to share with us and be included in future round ups use the #gsdedtech and/or #gsdlibraries hashtags in your tweets or instagram posts, or mention us: @edtechgsd and @librarymediagsd on twitter, or @edtechgsd on instagram.

1. Leadership in Blended and Digital Learning Site Visit, Gearld Wright Elementary

In March, Gearld Wright Elementary hosted a site visit for the Leadership in Blended and Digital Learning cohort of elementary school principals and technology specialists. During this site visit principals were able to step into several classrooms to see first-hand how teachers are transforming their classrooms using blended and digital learning strategies. In addition to taking what they saw back to their own schools, some participants shared snapshots with us via social media posts that we will share in the Twitter Moment below. Also check out highlights from past LBDL site visits.

2. Classroom Snapshots

We’ve gathered all the tweets shared with us from granite classrooms and libraries during the month of March in this Twitter Moment. You can see student learning in action and possibly get some ideas for your classroom. If you have something to share from your school, use the #gsdedtech and/or #gsdlibaries hashtags so we can see and amplify it, and add it to future round ups.

3. UCET and UELMA 2019 Highlights

In March the Utah Coalition for Educational Technology (UCET) and the Utah Educational Library Media Association (UELMA) held their annual conferences. Many teachers, school technology specialists, and library media educational technology specialists from Granite presented at these conferences. We collected some social media highlights below. Also check out our collection of links to presentations from the conferences.
