The Fine Arts Core Curriculum places emphasis on creating, performing, presenting, producing, responding, and connecting. In Granite School District teachers use curriculum maps, benchmarks, and benchmark assessments that are based on the Utah State Core Standards for Dance, Theatre, and Visual Arts.
Students have many opportunities to perform, present, and produce works of art in each of these areas.
THEATRE
Each school with a theatre program performs a musical and/or drama production. These productions are listed on the district calendar. We have Fall performances generally in November and Spring performances typically in March. We boast outstanding theatre teachers whose direction builds confidence and self-expression in their students. Please visit our district webpage for a list of schools.
