Teacher Spotlight: Julia Bossi, Granite Park Jr. High

The students in Julia Bossi’s art classes at Granite Park Junior High learn not only how to create beautiful pieces of art, they also learn research skills and use Cornell note-taking strategies to record and organize the information they learn. Grant: Digital Public Library of America Primary Source Curation

The Digital Public Library of America is currently looking for humanities educators in grades 6-14 to collaborate with them on a project to create new primary source-based education resources (curated collections of primary sources about people, places, events, or ideas) for student and teacher use, as well as evaluate new resource creation tools that will be available for teachers and students on the DPLA website. Participating teachers will receive reimbursement for travel to Boston, Massachusetts for in-person planning sessions, as well as a $1500 stipend.
