Grant: Follett Challenge

follett-challengeFollett is currently accepting entries in their annual Follett Challenge. Schools can win up to $60,000 for showcasing a “unique or inventive program that is thriving in their school.”

To enter the challenge, your school needs to submit:

  1. An online application describing your school’s program
  2. A 3-5 minute video promoting your school’s program

Applications are due by December 23, 2016. Winners will be chosen through a combination of scores from a Follett judging team as well as public online voting for the promotional videos.

Grant: Digital Public Library of America Primary Source Curation

The Digital Public Library of America is currently looking for humanities educators in grades 6-14 to collaborate with them on a project to create new primary source-based education resources (curated collections of primary sources about people, places, events, or ideas) for student and teacher use, as well as evaluate new resource creation tools that will be available for teachers and students on the DPLA website. Participating teachers will receive reimbursement for travel to Boston, Massachusetts for in-person planning sessions, as well as a $1500 stipend.
