2020-2021 CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS ANNOUNCEMENT
The Granite School District Board of Education and Granite Education Association are pleased to announce a new teacher contract has been negotiated for the 2020-2021 school year. Teachers will receive a 5% COLA, and a 3% one-time bonus in November 2020. Additionally, salary steps 1-5 have been eliminated from the Teacher Salary Schedule. This means that a first year teacher with a bachelor’s degree will earn $50,380 per year.
Granite has already hired over 100 teachers for the 2020-2021 school year, and will continue to fill vacancies as quickly as possible.
