Announcements:
Please be aware of more URS meetings coming up soon:
URS will be offering ONE-ON-ONE RETIREMENT PLANNING sessions at our district office Friday, March 20. The URS flyer is attached.
If you are interested in signing up for one of these, sign up by logging in to your URS account at www.urs.org. Click the Education tab in the top-right corner and begin scrolling through the dates/location until you find March 20th, Granite District HR Benefits Conference room. These fill up quickly, so act fast!
If you are unable to attend during any of the open times, you can always schedule a virtual meeting with URS or find a date/time that works for you at an alternative location. You are not limited to our district office location.
Due to the launch of a new URS platform, the April 16th meeting will be cancelled. This meeting was going to provide information on the retirement application process with URS. We will reach out if they are able to reschedule. In the meantime, if you have questions about this process, please give me a call. I’m happy to help and/or point you in the right direction.
As always, reach out with any questions. I’m happy to help!

Retirement Deadlines:
Please be aware of the retirement deadlines for your employee group and feel free to call to set up an appointment at least a couple of weeks in advance of the deadline:
- ESP-10 working days prior to retirement date
- Middle Manager-90 calendar days of notice
- Teacher-Mid-year is October 1st and end of year is February 1st
- Administrator-December 15th for a June/July retirement

Regarding Outside Advisors:
Every so often URS hears of stories from members about meeting with a URS representative who sold them a product (annuity, insurance, death benefit, etc.). URS wants to get the word out that our Advisors do not contact members to schedule meetings about their retirement benefits and URS does not sell products. If you have employees that are looking to learn more about their URS retirement benefits, URS would love to meet with them. These sessions are scheduled online through the www.urs.org website.
Updating Your Contact Information for URS
